F1 Monaco Grand Prix Weekend

What I actually paid & how

$3,349 per person for the full weekend.
Every line item below.

Before the breakdown

This was a trip for a group of 8 people. We split 4 specific costs — the villa, chef, private driver, and table at La Rascasse. Everything else is priced per person, so group size doesn’t change those costs. I’ve flagged the shared items below so you can adjust the math for your own group.

The breakdown
Watch F1 from a luxury superyacht or terrace $616

Watch all practice sessions from a yacht deck or a private terrace. I chose the terrace.

Front-row Monaco GP race seats $377

K grandstand, harbor view. Saturday qualifying session.

Yacht afterparty $472

Yacht party in Monaco harbor. DJs, live entertainment, open bar.

SUNSET Monaco Beach Party $114

The Grand Prix’s biggest beach party.

Table at La Rascasse $190

The iconic club on the F1 circuit. My share (1 of 8) of a table with bottle service.

Private villa with dedicated chef $600

My share (1 of 8). 5 nights.

One-way economy flight, LA → Nice $711

Mostly covered by Amex points. Yours will vary depending on where you’re flying from.

Train and private driver $96

Trains between Nice, Roquebrune, and Monaco, plus my share (1 of 8) of a private driver for late nights.

Food and drinks $173

Our chef covered most meals at the villa. This was for my personal groceries and drinks on a few nights out.

Total $3,349

Optional splurge: Amber Lounge, the official F1 afterparty, is ~$585. I skipped it since La Rascasse was more my vibe, but if you want to party next to F1 drivers until 4am, it’s worth checking out.

Want to buy race tickets yourself? Go straight to the official sources: ACM (monaco-grandprix.com), Monaco’s official race organizer, or the official F1 ticket store.

Two things most people get wrong

Where to stay

Skip staying in Monaco. Rent an Airbnb in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin — about 10 minutes by train and usually much cheaper. Cap-d’Ail and Beausoleil are great options too.

When to arrive

Fly into Nice on Wednesday, not Thursday or Friday. Flights, trains, and places to stay all roughly double in price once Friday hits. Leave Monday morning rather than Sunday night for the same reason.

Thinking about Monaco 2027?

You can book almost everything here yourself. If you’d rather skip the planning, @akaman_groupe curated my entire F1 weekend, from the superyacht down to the private driver.
